 Really Great Reading Surveys

Beginning and Advanced Decoding Surveys from the Really Great Reading Company are designed to identify specifically why students have decoding difficulties.  Five versions of each survey are included so that progress over time can be assessed.  Assessment is tied to a logical scope and sequence for learning to decode.  RGR’s surveys are efficient.  They are given one-on-one and it takes between five and fifteen minutes to target the specific weaknesses that are the cause of decoding weaknesses.  The surveys are based on scientific research about the various types of reading difficulties and the most effective ways to teach struggling readers.
